Our services enable individuals to return to meaningful occupation by adapting the environment and restoring function. 

Fieuw Occupational Therapy, based in Bellville, is dedicated to helping individuals reintegrate into work, home, and leisure activities following illness, injury, or other health conditions.

Founded in 2017 by Lezanne Fieuw, the practice welcomed Marleen Joubert in 2020, who has since taken over leadership starting in 2023.

At Fieuw Occupational Therapy we offer a wealth of experience in the field of vocational rehabilitation. We have a keen interest in disability assessment and case management and offer services to insurers and employers.

About Marleen Joubert

Marleen Joubert graduated with a B Occ. Degree from Stellenbosch University in 2010 and pursued further studies, including a post-graduate diploma in Hand Therapy from the University of Pretoria in 2013 and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Stellenbosch University in 2018. Her career includes treating in- and outpatients in hospitals across the Free State and Gauteng, where she developed a passion for workplace injury rehabilitation and vocational assessment.

Certified in WorkWell’s Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), and the Psychiatric Functional Capacity Evaluator (PFCE), developed by Karen Theunissen, Marleen is also a certified PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program) provider and a Sensory Intelligence® Practitioner.

Since joining Fieuw Occupational Therapy, she has expanded her expertise in treating chronic pain, conducting comprehensive driving evaluations, vocational rehabilitation, case management, and and performing functional capacity evaluations.  

Marleen Joubert embraces Virginia "Ginny" Stoffel's philosophy: "Occupational therapy practitioners ask, ‘What matters to you?’ not, ‘What’s the matter with you?’" This guides Marleen's patient care approach, prioritizing understanding her clients' goals and priorities for personalized and effective therapy.
